Grope models
In many ways Grope models are a great enrichment of public townscapes. Through these models, blind and visually impaired are able to create their own visual image of buildings, places or even whole quarters. Also viewing the models allows to gain new impressions. Both, production of the models and casting is realized by us.

Destroyed Synagogue

This model of a synagogue is now set up on the former ground of where its original has been destroyed in the pogrom of 1938.

The model was crafted in the scale of 1:50.

Church of Elisabeth - Elisabethkirche

The model of the gothic church in Marburg has been manufactured in the scale of 1:125. The basement is 120 x 80 cm. Adjacent to the church you find buildings in the size of 60 x 38 x 65cm. Scripts in Braille and in lettering provide further information.

Town hall square - Rathausplatz

The historical town hall square of Marburg is the centre of Marburg’s old town. The model has been manufactured in the scale of 1:125. The basement of the model is 120 x 80cm and includes adjacent historical buildings in different architectural styles. See the photo of the town hall for comparison.

Gate of Plausdorf - Plausdorfer Tor

The modell of the historical complex is in private property and has also been done in the scale of 1:125. On the picture you see it in non-patinated condition.

Scales

Beside the works shown all kinds of scales are possible to realize. The picture displays models in the scales of 1:125; 1:200 and 1:300. Our relationship with institutes for blind and visually impaired has shown that 1:125 is a great scale, as you can still feel the details.
